Where open seats are available, children receive prioritization in the lottery for each Seashore Charter School in the following order:

1. Children of Seashore Charter School faculty and staff
2. Brothers and sisters of enrolled Seashore Charter School students who live in the zip codes zoned for Seashore Charter Schools
3. Students who live in the zip codes 78418, 78419, or 78373 are zoned for Seashore Charter Schools

Seashore Charter Schools will accept student applications. All of these applications will be placed into a lottery. If the number of children interested in a specific grade exceeds the number of seats available for that grade, names will be drawn through a random lottery process on April 1 (or the first day of April that is a school day) and families will be notified of their admission status soon afterwards. If the number of applications for a specific SCS school and grade received by March 31 is fewer than the seats we have open, all children with completed applications for that school and grade are automatically admitted subject to the SCS admission policy.

If there are not enough open seats available at an SCS school and grade level applied for, children will be placed on a waitlist. If and when seats become available at that grade level, we will notify families in the order of where they are on the waitlist. Siblings of children accepted into Seashore Charter Schools receive preference in the lottery. If there is no space available at that grade level, siblings are placed at the top of their grade level waiting list, ordered based upon the date of entry of the first sibling admitted to Seashore Charter Schools.

After the March 31st (at 11:59p.m.) lottery deadline, families may complete a Charter Student Admission Application for either the current school year or next school year.

• Student’s applying for current school year will be eligible for open seats available in current school year, or will be added to the current school year waitlist.  These families will also need to submit a Charter Student Admission Application for next school year. These students are NOT guaranteed a seat for NEXT SCHOOL year.
• Student’s applying for next school year will be eligible for open seats available post lottery on a first-come, first-serve basis, or will be added to the waitlist in the order their application is received.  There is no sibling preference after lottery.

Registration Verfication - Currently enrolled students

The Registration Verification Window opens in June of each school year.

This feature will allow you to update demographic data for all students in the family. Parents/Guardians will be able to conveniently update student enrollment information.

Please remember it is important that you complete the Registration Verification process before the start of school. Due to state reporting requirements, the district must collect the most up to date information regarding your student at the start of every school year. It is important that you review the information that is currently stored on your student such as emergency contact persons, telephone numbers, privacy flags, etc. to ensure that the information is correct. Also by completing the Registration process, you enable the District to report accurate information on district students which will affect accountability ratings and federal funding.
