Who We Area

We are part of a national organization  whose purpose is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, to develop character, and to encourage good citizenship in the students of Seashore Middle Academy. We strive to serve our community  while living daily in a way that exudes the character traits upheld by the national Junior Honor Society. Resolute Lighthouse Chapter of NJHS

What We Do

We participate in service projects throughout our community both as individuals and as a chapter. This past year, we raised $487.27 for the Department of Veteran Affairs for Center for Development & Civic Engagement (CDCE); (Formerly VA Voluntary Service). They are responsible for recruiting, interviewing and the placement of Volunteers to assist Veterans and Staff at our Medical Facilities. In Addition their biggest Mission is to reach out to various Veteran Organizations and partner with local buisness in the Community to gather monetary support to promote our VA Annually Mandated Activities, Events and Programs at our Veteran Affairs Medical Facilities here in Corpus Christi; Armed Forces Day, Memorial Day, National Prisoners of War and/or Missing in Action Recognition Day, Veterans Day, National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans Week, Veteran Welcome Home Event, providing refreshments for all CDCE activities, Homeless Veteran Program, and New Patient Orientation Program.

This chapter also seeks to promote the character traits honored by NJHS by holding days in school where we can promote and teach these character traits to the student body.
