Facility Rental Policies & Regulations

The Board permits and encourages public use of designated school facilities for educational, recreational, civic, or social activities, when these activities do not conflict with school use or with this policy. All decisions for facility use are made with this in mind. Being a taxpayer or submitting a Facility Usage Request does not automatically guarantee the right to utilize any SCS facility. Facility Usage Request MUST be submitted and shall be processed and considered accordingly.

Requests for non-school use of District facilities shall be considered on a first-come, first-served basis; however, sport-related requests shall be considered on a percentage basis of availability schedule due to the limited resources available for use by sports organizations.

Academic and extracurricular campus activities shall always have priority when any use is scheduled. The campus principal or designee has the authority to cancel a scheduled non-school use if an unexpected conflict arises with a District activity.
