Typically, in the fall, "Bingo for Bags" is a fun night with friends where you can play bingo and win great purses! Designer and gently used purses are donated by the community. For an additional cost, players can have extra cards that will get you one more card per Bingo round, increasing your odds of winning. We will also have; a silent auction, door prizes, and light refreshments!
We can not begin to say thank you enough! We had so much fun getting to see everyone laughing and smiling. It was such a fun way to raise money for the students of Seashore Charter Schools. If you have pictures you'd like to share please send them our way!
2024-2025 "Bingo For Bags" will be held on Nov. 5th. More information will be forthcoming!
Thank you again,
Denise Hawkins

This is our premier fundraising event with live music, great food, cash bar, and amazing live and silent auction items. Traditionally taking place in the spring, past year themes have ranged from Country Western, Roaring Twenties, Jimmy Buffett inspired "Its 5 o’'clock Somewhere" and most recently; Boots n Bling which netted $218,000. Thank you to Ace Hardware who donated our raffle item for the second year in a row and to all of our sponsors.
This event celebrates the entire Seashore family, our staff, parent volunteers, community supporters and everything we have achieved together to support our students. Whoop It Up annually attracts over 400 parents, community leaders, and local business owners from downtown Corpus Christi to North Padre Island.
This fundraising event is vital to The Island Foundations as it drives much-needed campus improvements such as security cameras, technology updates, and in-class materials. Seashore Charter Schools is operated by The Island Foundation, a 501©3 nonprofit. As public open-enrollment charter schools, we receive roughly 20% less revenue from state and federal resources, which equates to roughly $1,800 less per student per year. Students pay no tuition to attend Seashore and the schools receive no money from local property taxes. That deficit is staggering, and it is up to the Foundation to make up the difference with help from the community.
We hope to see you at our next Whoop It Up and appreciative of this amazing and supportive community.
