Seashore Middle Academy 5th graders in the Junior Master Naturalist Program participated in the TPWD Kid Fish at Lake Corpus Christi. They spent an hour fishing, then enjoyed free hot dogs and the Texas Master Naturalists touch table, TPWD Game Warden wildlife displays, and the various educational activities from the TPWD and other natural resource stewards. The students were most excited about getting to take their Zebco Slingshot fishing poles home! Unfortunately, only 1 of the 17 kids caught a fish. A “bad day fishing is better than a good day at work(school)” right?
