Members of SMA’s Builders Club and National Junior Honor Society volunteered over the weekend to bag candy for the upcoming Santa Float Parade. The first night of this event is Dec 5 on Padre Island followed by 7 additional days covering various areas of Flour Bluff. The event is hosted by the Nueces County Emergency Services District #2 and Flour Bluff Volunteer Fire Department located on Yorktown Blvd in Flour Bluff. Nueces County Station 2 was able to stuff over 2300 bags of candy in just a couple of hours for the yearly Christmas Santa Parade thanks to the volunteers.
